Dear Duke: As a pigeon aficionado myself, I quite relate to your time befriending birds (ideally pigeons). I am the proud new(ish) owner of a bird feeder hanging outside my bedroom window, and have found myself in uncharted territory. That is to say, upset with a pigeon. After enjoying a few weeks of sparrows, finches, chickadees, and juncos, I come home to find my feeder decimated and unusually quiet. After refilling, I sit back to observe the (what I assumed were) exceptionally ravenous songbirds. Instead, I am greeted by an entitled, clumsy pigeon gulping down my food and refusing to share with the little guys. What the heck! As of the past few days, pigeon seems to have moved on and I hope it sticks. With any luck, he is heading your way. Better for all of us, I think.

The cost was quite high, and despite your payment completion I believe you to hold continued debt as the toll of the food impacted us unequally. Unclear how you will repay, but know it is in my mind (and thus we are friends)
